Teacher’s Notes Halloween Poems

Little Timmy Trembletoes was scared of Halloween,
He’d hide beneath his covers, where he couldn’t be seen.
Ghosts and goblins, witches’ brew,
Made him shiver through and through.

But one bright night, his friends came by,
With costumes on and spirits high.
“Come on, Timmy, join the fun,
Halloween’s for everyone!”

Timmy gulped and took a breath,
He’d face his fears, he’d do his best.
With a shaky step, he joined the crew,
Dressed as a pirate, brave and true.

They knocked on doors with a rap-tap-tap,
And Timmy’s heart went pitter-pat.
“Trick or treat!” they all did shout,
And candy rained, there was no doubt.

A haunted house loomed up ahead,
Timmy’s knees felt like lead.
But his friends held his hand so tight,
And together they braved the spooky night.

Inside, the ghosts went “Boo!” and “Hiss!”
But Timmy laughed, “I can handle this!”
He danced with skeletons, sang with ghouls,
And realized he’d been such a fool.

For Halloween was not so bad,
In fact, it was the most fun he’d had.
With candy, friends, and spooky cheer,
Timmy’s heart was full of fear no more, just sheer.

As the night drew to a close,
Timmy’s face had a happy glow.
He’d faced his fears, he’d had a blast,
And knew his fright was in the past.

So here’s to Timmy, brave and bold,
Who found his courage, broke the mold.
For Halloween’s a night of fun and light,
When fears are conquered, and hearts take flight.
